A month ago, the final episode of the fourth season of "Why Race Matters" on PBS Wisconsin aired on Monday, June 23. You can watch the full interview here or listen to it wherever you consume podcasts.

god is good. all my years of having school teachers write that I "talk too much in class" really paid off with this opportunity. going in, I was nervous to be on camera, but overall I was really excited to talk about my career so far in journalism and learn from other Black storytellers and news creatives.

shoutout to Ali Khan with PBS Wisconsin for recommending me to the podcast and web series, Why Race Matters! We go back to the Simpson Street Free Press days when we were teen editors working with youth in Madison. It’s a blessing to be surrounded by so many talented people working to bring diversity and social justice to the public sphere.

there’s so much more I want to say about being black, female and a journalist, but I’ma save it for another time when I can process the topics more in depth and with guests ;)

thank you for supporting local hotties in journalism!
